I think cats are fascinating creatures, but I’m more of a dog person. My murky past includes teaching maths and writing children’s stories. I enjoy drawing and painting, without doing either particularly well. My favourite colour is blue.

Constructive criticism is always welcome. Please feel free to tell me what you liked, and also what you didn’t like, or where you feel there is room for improvement.

HERESY

Some of my thoughts run counter to accepted wisdom. Even to things we are strongly indoctrinated to believe.  This does not mean they are new: there is nothing new under the sun.

  6. I’ve read some of your heresy ideas and agree with a lot of them. I’ve constantly seen strange things in the way both our society and the individuals within it behave and act and wondered, why? I often found myself wondering about some of the deeper philosophical and psychological questions in life, but I didn’t think I’d meet anyone else would ponders these things. I’m glad I found your blog. 🙂

    1. I’m glad you did, too. Thanks for letting me know.
      As I maintain, reality is mostly a story we tell ourselves, and we learn it as we’re growing up. Unfortunately, we pick up a load of rubbish. One of my reasons for starting this blog was to write down what I actually think. I’ll look forward to any comments you may have – agreeing or disagreeing, as the case may be ;-).

    1. You’re welcome. Your multiple choice test made as much sense as many I’ve taken in my life. You should probably write an article all about grunges and snartified uckerpods. Who know, like Sokal, you may get it accepted for a journal, if only you call it interdisciplinary.

  20. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I have to say that I am also a dog person. I admire cats and have lived with those I have rescued. I paint cats because they lend themselves to my sense of humor and I love their flexible body positions. But dogs….I long for them.

  21. I’ve been meaning to say thank you for liking so many of my recent posts, and for the thoughtful and kind comments you’ve left me as well. I’ve been writing my blog for almost a year, I think roughly the same amount of time as you, and going back to see what I wrote at the very beginning, I found a tentative and private first post that I’ve now published (with an update). I enjoy following everything you post, and am glad we’ve met. I look forward to another year!
